On Thu. August 24, 2017, the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee (CPAC) held its fifth meeting at Unity Presbyterian Church in Fort Mill.
At the beginning of the meeting, Kara Drane of the Catawba Regional Council of Governments provided several versions of a draft vision statement for committee members to review. Members were asked to rank their top choices. Following a tally of the results, the following draft vision statement was selected for the 2040 update::
Following discussion of the draft vision statement, Assistant Planner Diane Dil gave a brief update on the project schedule. A copy of the survey results (summary and open ended responses) was also distributed to committee members.
Following Assistant Planner Dil's update, the CPAC broke out into its three subcommittee groups: Land Use, Transportation & Housing; Cultural Resources, Natural Resources & Public Health; and Economic Development & Community Facilities. Each subcommittee reviewed and discussed draft goals and strategies for the 2040 Comprehensive Plan.
The next meeting of the CPAC is scheduled for Thu. September 28, 2017, at 6:30 PM. The meeting will take place at Unity Presbyterian Church (303 Tom Hall Street).
