On Thu. March 30, 2017, the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee (CPAC) held its kick-off meeting at the Spratt Building in Fort Mill.
Following welcoming remarks from Mayor Guynn Savage and Planning Director Joe Cronin, CPAC members received an overview of the comprehensive planning process from the town's project manager Diane Dil, as well as project consultant Kara Drane of the Catawba Regional Council of Governments.
Following the presentation, members of the CPAC broke out into three subcommittees. During the subcommittee breakout sessions, CPAC members completed a written exercise, followed by a facilitated discussion with town and COG staff. Each subcommittee also elected a chair and vice-chair:
The next meeting of the CPAC is scheduled for Thu. April 27, 2017, at 6:30 PM. The meeting will take place at Unity Presbyterian Church (303 Tom Hall Street).
During a special called meeting on Mon. March 20, 2017, Fort Mill Town Council approved the establishment of a 39-member Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee (CPAC). The CPAC will be comprised of the 7 members of Fort Mill Town Council, the 7 members of the Fort Mill Planning Commission, and 25 citizen appointees. The CPAC will be divided into an Executive Committee and 3 subcommittees: Land Use, Transportation & Housing; Cultural Resources, Natural Resources & Public Health; and Economic Development & Community Facilities.
